After I discovered this wonderful Wii knock-off in Newark, I wondered what other counterfeit consumer electronic products might be out there. Here is just one of the more bizarre knockoffs you don’t want to receive for the upcoming holidays.

The Zone- This Wii knockoff is apparently pretty easy to get, as people have reported seeing them in CVS. However, hearing someone answer where they got a video game system with “CVS” is never a good sign.

The Zone sports many of the common features of the Wii knockoff such as a heavy emphasis on sports games, the appearance of motion control, and most importantly a slavish copy of the design of the Wii itself.

One thing that is interesting to note about these and many other Wii Knockoffs is the complete lack of ability to play games other than ones that come with the system. This is because all of the game are on The Zones circuit board and not separate discs.
